My Reflection: As they mocked Jesus, Jesus continued with his mission. Jesus certainly had the power to save himself, but he CHOSE not to. Why? Because he loves us. He died for the people that were mocking him too, not just the people that showed love for him. Our belief in Jesus changes our status from unrighteous to righteous. It has nothing to do with our past faults and mistakes. When you choose Jesus, you become righteous because he already chose you. Even the criminals that were being crucified next to Jesus mocked him. But, one of them put his faith in Jesus. He believed that he was the Messiah and had done nothing wrong. Jesus saw past this criminal's history. He saw past his wrongs. He saw his BELIEF. And because of this Jesus said, " I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise." Luke 23:43
