Risen Day 3: 1 Corinthians 15:20-34, Isaiah 26:19

My Reflection: I really enjoyed reading the devotional that went along with these bible verses today. The author brought up a really good point about the Israelites giving God their first fruits from the harvest. This was an act of trust. It was like they were saying, "God, I trust you to take care and provide for me. Here is my best and my first because I know that you will give me all I need." The author went on to talk about how Jesus was the first one be resurrected from the dead. He is our first fruit. We know that since Christ was raised from the dead, we no longer have to be afraid of death. We can give that fear to God because Christ has already overcome it. What things in your life do you need to give to God? Is it your time? Is it your money? God will supply all that we need. When we give our first to him it shows that we trust him. So give him the first of your day even when you don't feel like there is enough time. Give him the first of your money even when there seems to not be enough. Why? Because, he is enough for us.
