My Reflection: Today as I think about my earthly body, I think about how fragile it is. It is weak, imperfect, and doesn't do what I want it to do all of the time. We try to take the best care of our bodies by drinking water, exercising, eating fruits and vegetables, and taking vitamins. But, even doing all of those things does not prevent our bodies from feeling illnesses, sadness, and pain. I went to my post op appointment yesterday (I had surgery almost 3 weeks ago). Everything looked pretty great except that I had this horrible pain in my right lower abdomen. I had done something to aggravate the healing on the inside, which affected another part of my body. Thankfully, it passed. But, oh boy was it painful! There is nothing I could've done prior to feeling that pain to know how to prevent that from happening. My body just needs time to heal that's all. I am thankful that I have a heavenly body waiting when Jesus comes. For right now, I am thankful for God's healing and provision. But, most of all, I am thankful for His resurrecting power.
